Ginger Citrus Smoothie

Ingredients

1 orange peeled and quartered

1/2 pink grapefruit peeled and quartered

1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed

1 tbsp ginger root peeled and minced, or 1 1/2 inch knob, peeled

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or more, to taste

2 tbsp honey

1 cup cashew milk or any nut milk, or dairy milk.

1/4 cup ice cubes

Directions

Put all ingredients into a high powered blender and spin for a couple of minutes, until everything is pureed.

Pour into a glass and drink right away.

Notes

If you don't have a high powered blender, you can still make this in a regular blender, there will just be more pulp.

Alternately, you can use only the juices of the citrus fruits in this recipe if you aren't a fan of citrus pulp.
